Scope & Content Snyder discusses General George Crook's campaign at Crazy Woman Fork in 1876. He relates stories of George Custer, Marcus Reno, General Eugene Carr's campaign at Summit Springs in 1869 and the role of the Pawnee Scouts. Snyder knew scout Luther North, who lived near him in Butler County, Nebraska until the 1930s. The North Family and Snyder were both involved in the cattle business and Snyder discusses cross-breeding and feeding techniques.
