Scope & Content A map of the State of Nebraska with that portion of the State included in the Land Grant given to the Union Pacific Railroad highlighted. The Land Grant extended 20 miles on each side of the Union Pacific rail line which followed the Platte River. Additional color coded areas signify counties. Red circles indicate U.S. Land Offices, past and present. The map also states that pricing and terms of payment inquiries should be directed to Lewitt Burnham, Land Commissioner, Omaha, Nebraska.
