Approximately 265 photographs; Ned Culbertson Abbott was an educator, author, and noted public speaker, who worked as Superintendent of the Nebraska School for the Blind in Nebraska City. This collection relates to his work and to his family. This collection consists of photographic prints and negatives from the late 1800s-ca.1950, mostly 1890s and 1930s-1940s. Photographs of Abbott and his family are included, as well as photographs related to the Morton family and to Abraham Lincoln. Of particular interests are photographs of the Nebraska School for the Blind. These photographs include images of the school building, students, and equipment used to train students.
