This collection consists of 1920 and 1921 clippings from Omaha, Nebraska, newspapers relating to Raymond Burleigh, who was said to be the "Youngest Yank" in the American Expeditionary Forces during World War I. The articles include pictures of Burleigh; his wife, Corrine Buffum Burleigh; and Miroslav Marek, the "youngest veteran of all the armies of the World War." There is also a brief family history and a letter Burleigh wrote under his alias, Fred De Reaux, December 14, 1918, to his mother Mrs. James R. Burleigh, while he was in France.
