This material is arranged in one series: 1) Sod House letters, 1957-1958. It consists of letters to the Nebraska Farmer written by pioneers in 1957 and 1958, relating their experiences in the late 19th and early 20th Century. The letters were printed in a series titled, "I Lived In A Soddy," and relate primarily to building and living in sod houses. Correspondents also wrote about contemporary social and religious life; discussed farming experiences, including crops raised and yields obtained for different years; and other related aspects of agricultural life. For copies of the letters consult the "Sod House Letters" volume in the Library Collections.

Included are photographs showing street scenes, the interiors and exteriors of various businesses, homes, schools, churches, and trees. There are also photographs of Bellwood residents, including family and group photos. A few photographs show a centennial celebration and parade.

This collection is comprised of photographs relating to David City, Nebraska. This collection consists of photographic prints of structures in David City, Nebraska. Most of the photographs are of private homes, ca.1900. There are also photos of street scenes.

Approximately 25 photographs; This collection relates to the family and career of pianist Frances Margaret Creech, who was a member of an all-woman band headlined by Ruth Colman. This collection consists of photographic prints, ca.1900-1950s. Photographs of Frances M. Creech, Ruth Colman, and other members of Colman's bands are included. There are photographs of the Creech family home and other sites near Bellwood, Nebraska, as well as family photos, including the Hookstra family.
