This collection contains materials that relate to Allan John Cameron and his service as a captain in the Army Medical Corps, Company 35, Fort Riley, Kansas, in World War I. Papers relating to his work and personal life in Herman, Nebraska, are also included. Among the personal papers are an inventory showing drugs held by Dr. Cameron in 1915; military life insurance documents; stock certificates and information on the Hupp Automatic Mail Exchange Company, 1914, and Nebraska Clay Products Company; and a benefit certificate of the Supreme Lodge of the Fraternal Union of America.

Approximately 25 photographs; This collection relates to the Emery family of Beatrice, Nebraska, particularly their military service in the Spanish-American War and World War I. This collection consists of photographic prints, 1878-1918. There are photographs of J.C. Emery during the Spanish-American War, French towns visited by Robert Emery in World War I, and Nebraska National Guardsmen at Camp Ashland. Also included are photographs from Beatrice, Nebraska, showing a street scene, the First National Bank, and a passenger train.
