This collection consists of one reel of microfilm containing two scrapbooks dating from 1942-1944 and 1949-1960. The material relates to the history of the Cornhusker Ordnance Plant. Included are newspaper clippings, photographs, publicity materials, and advertisements that document activities at the Plant. These items also provide information on production of munitions, fundraising campaigns, safety operations, accommodations for workers, military inspections, visits of dignitaries, and social events for employees. The original Volume 2 (1952-1960) was added to the collection at a later date.

The collection consists of two letters and two short manuscript drafts relating to the Campbell family settling in Nebraska in the 1860s. The two letters from 1908 are written to C.S. Paine of the Nebraska State Historical Society from Peter Campbell and John R. Campbell. The manuscript drafts describe the family's journey from Scotland, a brief stay in Nebraska City, Nebraska, and homesteading in Hall County, Nebraska. Included in the manuscripts is information on an Indian raid in which members of the Campbell family were abducted.

This collection consists of five manuscript items. These reminiscences, written by Emil Roeser, describe a few incidents in Grand Island and Hall County, including the murders of two local men and a story about Thomas Goodchild, African American barber of Grand Island.

These materials related to James Olson's time with the Nebraska State Historical Society as well as the University of Nebraska.
