This collection consists of five items in two series: 1) Reminiscences, 1978, 1989, and 1997; and 2) Biographical Materials, 2004. The materials document the memories and lives of Weddel family members. The Reminiscences of Series One were written by C.A. Weddel, Luella Weddel, and Bonnie (Weddel) Caplan. C.A. Weddel's "A Few Vignettes of the Past" was written for his daughter in 1978. Weddel writes about his family history, his schooling, and what growing up in Arcadia, Nebraska, was like during the 1910s and early 1920s. Approximately 54 photographs; The Resettlement Administration was a New Deal program created to assist tenant farmers across the United States. This collection consists of photographs related to the Resettlement Administration in Nebraska and to agriculture during the Great Depression. This collection consists of photographic prints, 1930s. The photographs relate to the Resettlement Administration in Nebraska and show farms and farm families from locations throughout the state. Photographs of dust storms and drifts of dust are also included.

This collection contains images of towns and rural settings in Sherman County, Nebraska. This collection consists of photographic prints and negatives, 1885-1939 and undated; mostly 1900s-1920s. Included are photographs showing street scenes, schools, churches, monuments, and courthouses. There are also photographs related to agriculture in the county. A few of the photographs show a Flag Day riot in Loup City, Nebraska, in 1934.
