This collection consists of a diary, ca. 1904. The diary, in typescript form, was kept by Juliaetta Howard during an overland wagon trip from Nuckolls County to Lincoln County, Nebraska. The entries describe the efforts of the Howard family to fight the winter elements during their January trek from Nuckolls County through Deweese, Glenvil, Hastings, Kenesaw, Kearney, Gothenburg, Brady, and Maxwell to their final destination, a farm some twenty miles south of North Platte in Lincoln County.
