This collection relates to the Oregon Trail's route through Nebraska and monuments erected along its path. This collection consists of photographic prints and negatives, 1904-1973 and undated, mostly 1910s-1920s. Included are scenes from locations in Nebraska through which the Oregon Trail proceeded. There are also numerous photographs showing markers and monuments erected along the trail and dedication ceremonies for the markers.

This collection consists of fifty-three stereographs documenting the early history of Osceola, Nebraska. Subjects include street scenes, 1882, showing views of local businesses; private homes of different architectural styles; and sod houses.

This collection consists of photographs relating to John H. Mickey, a former governor of Nebraska, and aerial views of Nebraska towns. This collection consists of seven photographs documenting various residences of the John H. Mickey family. Shown are homes in Osceola and Lincoln, Nebraska. Also included is a bird's-eye view of Randolph, Nebraska, and a photo of Mickey working at his desk.
