In 1935 the Nebraska Light and Power Company in McCook, Nebraska, was destroyed by a flood. This collection contains photographs and a personal account of the flood. This collection consists of ten photographic prints showing the 1935 flood of the Republican River in McCook, Nebraska. There are before, during, and after shots of the flood on the Nebraska Light and Power Company building. Included are photographs of attempts made to rescue men stranded in the building.

36 photographs; DeGroff's Department Store in McCook, Nebraska, was a long-standing business in the community. This collection contains photographs of the store's interiors, exteriors, employees, and customers throughout its years of operation. This collection consists of interior and exterior photographing showing stages in the growth of DeGroff's Department Store of McCook, Nebraska. A 1903 photo of the store shows employees, curved glass counters, a low tin ceiling, and merchandise, such as five-cent ties. A store window advertises a cloak sale in an 1897 image. Also included are photos of a fashion show, ca.1950, and views of McCook's main street (Norris Avenue) in the late 1800s.
