Description Crete, Nebraska, was established by J.C. Bickle in 1868. This collection of photographs documents the town of Crete, Nebraska.

This collection consists of photographic prints relating to Crete, Nebraska. The photographs show students, 1908; early high school basketball teams; girl scouts; and Doane College. There are street scenes and pictures of buildings, as well asimages of the Crete flood of 1950. Also included are portraits of the Bickle family,founders of Crete.
