Nathan Roscoe Pound (1870-1964), Louise Pound (1872-1958) and Olivia Pound (1874-1961) were born in Lincoln, Nebraska. All three were educated by their mother, Laura Biddlecome Pound, until they entered the University of Nebraska Preparatory School. This collection consists of portraits of Roscoe, Louise, and Olivia, as well as friends and colleagues. There are family pictures and picture postcards from around the world.
This collection consists of photographic prints relating to Roscoe, Louise, and Olivia Pound. Photographs include portraits of the Pound and Biddlecome families. Also included are photographs of Louise participating in athletic events, such as golf, tennis and skiing; friends and colleagues of Roscoe Pound; Olivia's snapshot album showing her Lincoln High School students, and her cat Alexander; views of the Pound home on 16th and L Streets in Lincoln, Nebraska; and photos of Laura Pound, their mother. Photographs of Roscoe Pound cover the years he was Dean of the Law College at the University of Nebraska. There are also many photographs and postcards of Turkey, Greece, and Italy depicting the art and architecture of the region. Also of note are photographs of international tennis players at Wimbledon, England, with notes on the back presumed to have been added by Louise Pound.
