Description Approximately 10 photographs; George Ward Holdrege was general manager of the Omaha, Nebraska, office of the Burlington and Missouri River Railroad Company. This collection relates primarily to mining activities, mineral and land prospects, railroad construction, and agriculture and irrigation in Nebraska, Colorado, Wyoming, and South Dakota.

This collection consists primarily of photographic prints from Homestake Gold Stamp Mills and Mines in South Dakota, ca.1888. These images show both interior and exterior views of the mills and nearby landscapes. The component also includes a photographic print of George Ward Holdrege taken in the 1920s.
