Title Rosebud Indian Police in front of headquarters buildin
Description Agency police, in uniform, standing by wooden building. Black and white photograph of about 46 men in police uniform standing in four tiers outside a wooden-framed building. All the men except those at the front hold rifles to their right sides. This photograph was taken at the Rosebud Reservation. Police pay was ten to fifteen dollars a month, provided with uniforms, a log house and extra rations. The Rosebud Sioux Indian Reservation is located nine miles north of Valentine, Nebraska, in South Dakota.
