Description Color offset lithograph on white paper. Cover for the magazine Black Aces, published by Fiction House. The cover is white featuring a man wearing a fedora, suit jacket, white shirt, and tie, firing a pistol at the left. Drawn half bent over grasping his side is a uniformed police officer wearing a blue jacket and hat. Printed at the top on a black slanted shape is the magazine title: "Black // Aces" in black, with a subtitle on the top right: "Lone Wolf // Stories of // Action!" in white. Printed beneath the title on the left is the price and date, "Apr. // 20¢", and a listing of two stories and their authors in black and red. On the right are two more stories and authors, and the publishers stamp. "All Stories Complete" is printed in red text on the bottom edge. On the upper left is the publisher's stamp. The spine is white with the magazine title, volume, number, and date printed in red. On the reverse side is a black text ad advertising "Sensational Values" on jewelry from the Royal Diamond & Watch Co. The ad text is accompanied by illustrations of rings and watches.
