Description Offset lithograph on groundwood pulp paper. Black and white ad for Old Gold cigarettes. Ad features an illustration on the top half of the ad and ad copy and an Old Gold carton on the bottom half. The illustration is of a man in military uniform sitting next to a woman on a train. Another man, a sailor, is standing behind them holding one bag in the air to put on the luggage rack. His other bag has fallen and hit the higher ranking man on the head. The man is holding his head and his companion is offering him a Old Gold cigarette. Across the top of the ad is the text: "Why be Irritated?" and below the illustration: "Light an Old Gold!" The bottom half of the ad has text on "Apple Honey" and how it keeps Old Gold cigarettes dry on the left and a carton of Old Gold on the right. On the bottom of the page is the manufacturer's name, address, and description of the ad.
