Description Color offset lithograph. Print of one of the 3M Company's Bicentennial paintings. Print of a painting of a sod house and homesteaders at work plowing the earth. In the center foreground, a woman pauses to drink water offered by a young girl. The woman is standing next to a plow and an ox. A girl stands by the ox holding the halter. In the middle ground stands a sod house with glass windows, a pen with a cow on the right, and a clothes line on the left. In the distance, flat expanses of prairie are visible. On the right are two Native Americans, one riding a horse and dragging a travois and the other trailing behind. The sky is blue with white clouds. Printed beneath the image is black text with the piece's title, and manufacturing credits. Written beneath the lower left corner is John Falter's signature in graphite.
