Object Name Proof, Printing
Description Color offset lithograph on white paper. Printing proof of an illustration for Reader's Digest featuring two men in a parlor drinking. One man is seated in a blue shirt, tie, and blue pin-stripped pants, seated in a leather chair with his shoeless feet resting on a table. The man is holding a glass with amber alcohol in it. A second man, in a three-piece blue suit and bow tie, standing to the right of the seated man also holding a glass with amber alcohol. The room has red carpet, a red chair, walls with yellow flowered wall paper, a fireplace on the left edge with a mirror above it, and a drink table beside the fireplace. Sitting on top of a fireplace are books, clock, and a sculpture. A chandelier hangs down on the right edge. Printed on the top, sides, and bottom of the image are crosses with dots and check marks. Printed on the bottom edge is a text box titled "Reader's Digest Condensed Books." In the box are fields with black handwritten information. The fields ask for the book, page, date, and proof number. Above the box is a graphite doodle.
