Description Color offset lithograph on white paper. Cover for the magazine Western Story, published by Street & Smith. The cover is black with an image of two cowboys fighting. One cowboy, wearing a green shirt, red neckerchief, and gun belt, is sitting at a green table with playing cards and poker chips lying on the table. The second man, wearing a yellow shirt and cowboy hat, is holding the first cowboy's left arm and right arm down. The first cowboy is holding a gun held down by the first cowboy. The artist's signature is signed in black on the lower left. Above the image is red and white text: "Street & Smith's // Western Story // Magazine // Every Week." Printed beneath the title on the left edge is the price and date in a yellow square: "Mar. 26. // 1932 // 15¢ // In U.S.A.". Printed on the lower left is red text: "Peter // Henry Morland // Frank // Richardson Pierce." On the left edge is the spine of the magazine with the date and magazine title printed in red. On the reverse side is a black text ad advertising "Sensational Values" on jewelry from the Royal Diamond & Watch Co. The ad text is accompanied by illustrations of rings and watches.
