Description Graphite drawing on white tracing paper. The graphite drawing is of a sea monster rising from water, hooked on a fishing line. The tracing paper overlays a color lithograph. The color lithograph, "American River Scenery" by Currier and Ives, features a lake bordered by tree covered hills. Peninsulas extend into the lake with trees and grass growing. In the foreground are two fisherman fishing. One man is seated on a rock and the other man has a fishing pole. On the right are sheep. In the background a sail boat is sailing on the lake. Beneath the print are the artist's names and the title of the print with a subtitle.
