Description Color offset lithograph on white paper. Printing proof of the August 2, 1947 Saturday Evening Post cover. The cover features the illustration "Inn in Ogunquit" by John Falter. The illustration is of a three story white house with black shutters and a blue and gold shade over the porch. Older men and women are seated in rocking chairs on the porch. The old people are observing a line of people returning from/going to the beach dressed for the beach and carrying beach accessories--umbrellas, towels, coolers, and toys. The house is surrounded by trees, grass, and flower beds. Signs for restaurants are nailed to the side of the house and to a tree. On the lower left corner is the artist's signature. At the top of the cover is the title of the magazine, date, and a white square.
