Description Color offset lithograph on white paper. Printing proof of an illustration for Reader's Digest featuring a man working on his motorcycle as two boys watch from beneath bushes and grass in the background. The illustration is a pen and ink drawing of a man in a shirt, pants, shoes, and hat holding a wrench in one hand and a screwdriver in the other. A jug, box, and bag are sitting on the ground in front of him. His bike stands behind him. The man has turned his head to the side. The area where he is working is covered with grass. Behind him is a grassless area. A hill behind him is covered with grass and bushes is providing cover for two boys, their heads visible only. Visible in the distance on the upper right is a body of water with gulls flying above. The illustration is framed by a brown line. Printed on the top edge are stripes of black and brown. Above the stripes is a text box titled "Reader's Digest Condensed Books." In the box are fields with black handwritten information. The fields ask for the book, page, date, and proof number.
