Description Color offset lithograph on white paper. Printing proof of an illustration for Reader's Digest featuring a man in a white coat, pants, and shoes holding a bucket and staring at a boat stuck in the roof of a shed on a pier. The boat has torn through the roof and is sticking stern up into the shed. In the foreground are traps, barrels, ropes, and boards littering the pier. In the background is water with debris floating on it. A building is visible in the background with a boat leaning on it. The pen and ink line drawing is tinted tan. The illustration is framed by a brown line. Printed on the top edge are black, brown, and tan stripes with coordinated color circles to the left of the stripes. Above the stripes is a text box titled "Reader's Digest Condensed Books." In the box are fields with black handwritten information. The fields ask for the book, page, date, and proof number.
