Cardboard backed color poster of the August 23, 1952 Saturday Evening Post Cover, Home From Vacation, by John Falter. The cover features a family, a man, woman, girl and boy, returning to their home after a vacation. Their overpacked car is parked on the cement driveway to a white two-story home. Their green lawn is overgrown. Newspapers litter the stoop, lawn, and the blue roof. Two bottles of milk sit on the stoop against the front door. The family stands on the lawn looking at the house. The man, in a yellow shirt is holding two suitcases. The woman, in a pink dress, is holding clothes on clothes hangers and is standing by the open door of the car. The boy, in a striped shirt and jeans, is riding a tricycle through the grass. The girl, in a white shirt and blue shorts, is holding her suitcase and is waving to someone. The trunk of the dirty car is open. Behind the house a yellow house and white fence are visible. The sky is cloudy and dark. Across the top of the illustration is a white bar. On the top left of the cover is "The Saturday Evening // Post // August 23, 1952 - 15¢" printed in red and black. To the right is a blue outlined square with black print listing two articles in the magazine. The poster is backed by particle board and two holes with metal reinforcements were cut in the top right and left corners.
