Description Postal cover from first Airmail Flight. Cover was sent from Omaha/St. Joseph, Missouri, on October 1, 1929 to Thomas Trimble in Los Angeles, California. On front and back is an alternating blue and red trapezoid border. FRONT: On the bottom right corner is the receiver's address in black ink - "Thomas Trimble 2846 Hollenbeck Ave. Los Angeles Calif." Above address in top right corner is a blue ink postage stamp - "U.S. Postage VIA AIR MAIL" with the image of a plane over a blue background above a large white "5 cent" Over the blue stamp is the black ink postal time stamp. In the top left corner is a black ink stamp. Stamp has the image of a plane flying over a farm. Over the image are the words: "FIRST FLIGHT" at the top, "St. Joseph, Mo. Oct. 1, 1929" in the middle, and "St. Louis Omaha" on the bottom.
