Event World War Two
History Harold Kirk who served in the 76th Division Artillery. He was called for temporary duty in the spring of 1941 and served almost five years. The last year was spent overseas. He served in the Reserves until his retirement in July of 1960. Harold was a 1924 graduate of Broken Bow High School. He studied electrical engineering in Ames Iowa (graduating in 1928) and started his military career with the R.O.T.C. there. After graduation, he joined Commonweath Edison and was employed there until 1960 (except for his years in the service).
