History Presented to Mrs. Marie M. Colby, second wife of Gen. L. W. Colby, in 1891 by Theodore Beaulieu of Whiteworth, MN. Extensive information about Colby and his career and his much publicized adoption of an orphaned Sioux baby, found on the Wounded Knee massacre sight next to her dead parents, (baby/woman known as Zintka or "Lost Bird"). in donor file.
