The pilot is wearing a green dress uniform, with brown hair combed back. In the background a plane is visible flying toward three planes. In the distance are three squadrons. The plans are flying above cloud covered mountains. The illustration has a grey border. Printed along the bottom is black text: "Esquire, Inc. 1944" below the left corner; "The Pilot Who Wouldn't Bail Out by John Falter" on the middle; "Printed Especially For Esquire" below the right corner. Stamped twice on the lower left edge on the back side of the paper is John Falter's name and address in black ink.
