In the background on the left are buildings and trees, middle-right are boats on the river, and right the other bank. An upturned rowboat is on the bank. A kid sits on it and another stands next to him showing off his catfish. Lincoln sits in the middle behind the boy showing off the catfish. A white border is on the left and right of the paper. Printed on the back of the paper is "Tuesday, August 11, 1859 - 11 A.M."
