Object Name Pump, Gasoline
Description Tall pump with a caged clear glass cylinder at the top. The cage is metal and painted white. There is a white metal cap on the top. A separate glass sign (10710-4-3) attaches to the cap. Within the glass cylinder is a metal chain with labels for various quantities of gasoline, from one to ten gallons.

The lower portion of the pump pillar is painted red. A rubber hose attaches to a copper pipe fitting extending from the area just below the "cage." The nozzle that is attached to the hose is also copper. The nozzle is marked "MC DONALD"; "PL. 980"; "1 PAT NO. 2218641"; "DUBUQUE". The fitting between the hose and pump is marked "LEE". There is a white hand crank on the side of the pump. The base is also painted white.

There are two placards on the side of the pump:
"FRY VISIBLE PUMP MODEL 73 PUMP BY 131048 MFG BY GUARANTEE LIQUID MEASURE CO ROCHESTER PA PATENTED 1-3-16 10-9-17 5-20-17 2-5-18 4-23-18 3-11-19 3-18-19, 12-30-19 4-6-21 4-18-22 9-25-23"

The second placard is marked: "UNDERWRITERS LABORATORIES INSPECTED VISIBLE MEASURE DISCHARGE FOR HAZARDOUS LIQUIDS FOR USE OUTSIDE OF BUILDING NO. 363557"

A pipe fitting near the base is marked "C1215"
