Object Name Envelope
Description White envelope addressed to "Lester C. Syford" as part of a campaign to sell war bonds during World War II. The envelope is postmarked "JAN 20 1944" and does not have a stamp. The upper left-hand corner of the envelope reads, "TREASURY DEPARTMENT; WAR SAVINGS STAFF; WASHINGTON D. C.; OFFICIAL BUSINESS" with an image of a minute man inside of a box. Also inside the box are the words, "FOR VICTORY; BUY UNITED STATES WAR BONDS AND STAMPS". This is all printed in blue ink.
