Description Printing proof for the cover of "The Master Detective." Color offset lithograph on white paper. Image on the paper is of a man in a grey suit, white shirt, and green tie holding his throat in one hand. The other had has dropped a glass. The man has his eyes closed in a grimace. The image is of the man from the shoulders up. The background of the cover is green. Printed over the image at the top of the page is: "The Master Detective." "Detective" is printed in the yellow beam of light from a silver flashlight on the left edge. "Now // 15¢" is printed on a red shield beneath the flashlight. Printed on the upper right corner is the month of publication. Printed on the right edge in yellow: "My // Blood- // Curdling // Ride // with // Death // by Inspector // McDonald // of the // Boston Police. Printed vertically on the left edge--the spine of the magazine--in green: "October, 1933," "The Master Detective," "15 Cents." The image is bordered by white.
