Description Transparency taped to white cardboard. Preliminary painting for "A Midnight Race on the Housassippi." Transparency has a scene painted in acrylic on the lower right corner. The scene of an octuple row boat with eight rowers and one cox in white shirts and shorts rowing their boat up the river. "Kent" is written in blue on the cox's shirt. The cox is holding a blow horn. They are rowing at night; the river and sky is lit by moonlight. A wake is painted in the river behind the boat. On the lower right and upper left corner are stickers with black and white scales. Written along the bottom of the cardboard backing is are arrows extending to the left and right of 14 1/2" written in the middle.
