Description Color offset lithograph on white paper. Magazine clipping of the June 22, 1946 Saturday Evening Post cover. The black cover features the illustration "Steam Engine Along the Mississippi" by John Falter. The illustration depicts a group of boys walking along the top of a hill followed by a younger boy and a dog in the foreground. Down the hill the top of a train engine is visible blowing smoke. Next to the train is a wide river, the Mississippi. Visible is the opposite bank with fields and houses in the distance at the base of more hills. The river is lined with trees and brown banks. A green boat is visible on the river next to the opposite bank. On the lower left corner is the artist's signature. At the top of the cover is the title of the magazine, date, and a listing of articles contained in the magazine. An address stamp is adhered to the top right.
