People Livingston, Jan
Event Christmas
History This doll was ordered by mail from the back of a cereal box by Jan Livingston's mother as a Christmas gift, probably in 1964. That year Jan's paren'ts were divorced and her mother was trying hard to make ends meet. The doll came with the polka-dot pajamas, taffeta dress, and the red jumper and striped skirt. Jan remembers how proud her Mother was to be able to have found a doll she could afford to give her for Christmas.
