Description Offset lithograph on white paper. A Briggs advertisement printing proof featuring an illustration by John Falter. The illustration is of a male surgeon wearing a white smock, hat, and a stethascope around his neck smoking a pipe. The smoke has drifted up and behind the man to a patient lying on the operating table being worked on--he is surrounded by other surgeons.
