Object Name Bolo
Description Slightly curved, single edged blade which, from a narrow portion near the guard, widens towards the point. Blade is slightly twisted from mid-point towards point. Iron blade age darkened, generally corrosion free and smooth. Wooden handle is one-piece with wider section at rear or pommel area for grip maintenance. Similar to no. 9, plate 12 in Smithsonian Bulletin 137 (Krieger).
