Description Color offset lithograph on white paper. Poster of the March 1, 1947 Saturday Evening Post Cover featuring the illustration "Cowboy Hanging Out His Laundry" by John Falter. The illustration depicts a man in black boots, blue jeans, and a green/blue plaid shirt hanging up clothing on a line between a red container and a corral fence. Four articles of clothing are hanging on the line--pants, shirt, socks, and long underwear. Behind the cowboy is a German Shepard lying down and watching the man. In the background in the corral are horses and a man standing among them. A pile of square bays is stacked beyond the corral. In the distance are bluffs, cacti, and sage brush. On the lower left corner is the artist's printed and handwritten signature. At the top of the poster is the title of the magazine, date, price, and a listing of articles contained in the magazine. The manufacturing location and date is printed on the bottom right edge.
