The cover features the illustration "Apartment Dwellers on New Year's Eve" by John Falter. The illustration depicts a view of three residential buildings on New Year's Eve. The next two floors have the shades drawn. The next building, red, over shows three floors with a party on the first floor, a mother and child on the second, and a couple sitting at a table on the third.
