Description Oil on canvas. Painting of a Jazz band in a crowded club. View of a performing jazz group in a night club setting with the backs of some audience's heads visible. On the left, a trumpet player is bent over. Behind him is a pianist facing forward. To his right is a bass player in profile, sharing some of the spotlight with the singer centered on the stage at the microphone. The singer appears to be twisting. To the right is the saxophonist and clarinetist are seated with a drum player behind. To the right of the bass player standing against the wall is a faceless woman figure in a purple dress. All the band members are wearing blue, brown, or gray clothing. The pinkish-gold lit face of the singer is the central point of interest. On the right two men are bringing in chairs to sit on in front of the audience. Unsigned. Framed.
