Ballengee, Joseph Harmon
|History||According to the label in the front of the book, it belonged to "J.H. Ballengee, Fort Robinson, Nebr." According to Fort Robinson Curator, Tom Buecker, Ballengee was CNW Depot Agent at Fort Robinson. A genaeology website (see donor file) shows a Joseph Harmon Ballengee married in Crawford, NE on December 11, 1893. He married Rosa "Doll" McFarland. The couple had two children that were born at Fort Robinson in 1895 and 1907, so it seems likely that this is "J.H. Ballengee". According to this website. Ballengee was born August 16, 1862 in Wayne County, WV. He died November 2, 1945 in West Point, NE. The NSHS Library/Archives Fort Robinson collection may have other Ballengee materials.|
