Wolf, W. Maxine
W. Maxine Wolf received this doll as a Christmas present when she was about nine years old (1930, ca.). The printed dress was made by Mrs. Mary R. Davis, a friend and longtime resident of North Loup, Nebraska. The rest of the clothes were purchased and given as gifts.
Maxine was born in Omaha to Otto W. Wolf and Dora Mathilda Petersen Wolf in 1921. Maxine was raised in Edgar, Nebraska. Her father was the owner of the Edgar Sun from 1927-1952.
The doll was made by E.I. Horsman & Co of New York. The company was founded in 1865 by Edward Imeson Horsman.
