Description Color offset lithograph on white paper. Magazine clipping of the July 13, 1946 Saturday Evening Post cover. The cover features the illustration "Blacksmith" by John Falter. The illustration depicts a barn with two horses tied up waiting to be shoed. On the right is a blond man hitting a horseshoe with a hammer on an anvil. On the left is a boy sitting on a upturned bucket brushing the hooves of a brown horse, holding a rope attached to the horse's bridle. A wagon sits behind the boy and the horse. Behind the wagon and a short grey furnace is a grey horse tied to a pole. In the background is a barn and fence. On the lower left corner is the artist's signature. At the top of the cover is the title of the magazine, date, and a listing of articles contained in the magazine. An address stamp is adhered to the lower right corner.
