Description Color gravure on white paper. The print, titled "The "Lightning Express" Trains" by Frances Palmer, N. Currier and J.M. Ives features two train engines running on railroad tracks at night toward the left. The two coal powered engines are pumping out black steam with red flares. Four tracks are on the ground. The far left track has a train running on it with a green cowcatcher. The third from the left track has a train running on it with a red cowcatcher. Figures are visible peeking over the side of the engine. Cars are visible behind the engines. The trains are running through a tree covered landscape. A moon hangs in the sky illuminating clouds and the trains. The print is framed by white. The title, artist's names, location and copyright information are engraved below the print. Graphite notes are written on the bottom right edge of the print by John Falter. The reprint company's name--New York Graphic Society--and information is printed on the lower middle.
