Description Graphite on tracing paper. Rough sketches of a Chautauqua tent scene for a stamp. There is a large tent in the middle with some wagons around the sides. The Chautauqua banner is on the front of the tent. There is a "us 8" on the bottom proper right of the scene. There is a line from this that leads to the note "Black" Written on the bottom proper left is "Chataqua." There is a note with a line to this word that reads "overprint in dk blue or black possibly even white." Beneath that artist has written "Foreground can be lake or grass area." A note with a line to the Chataqua. Note in the bottom margin reads: 'Big Tent-lots of people arriving either by horse and buggy or early cars model T's etc. There is a photo of the tent included in the material I sent." Above the scene are the words "Rural America" in large type. A note for this says "Dk Bue as in others." A note in the top margin reads: "I'll order this type overlay after I receive your art."
