In the background is an opened safe. The background of the cover is blue/purple. Printed over the image at the top of the page is: "The Master Detective." "Detective" is printed in the beam of light from a metal flashlight. Printed in the upper right corner is a NRA logo and "November" in orange. "Now // 15¢" is printed on a red shield beneath the flashlight. Printed on the left edge in white: "Behind // the Scenes in // New York's // Greatest // Jewel // Robbery." Printed vertically on the left edge--the spine of the magazine--in blue: "November 1933," "The Master Detective," "15 Cents." The image is bordered by white.
