Object Name Cover, Pillow
Description Pillow cover for the Lincoln Air Base. The designs on the pillow cover begin at the top with an American flag, sheild with eagle's wings behind it. All that setting above an air plane. Across all of that is a pink ribbon that reads, "U.S. Army Air Forces" with flowers on either side. Below the air plane it reads "Wings Over" in brown lettering. In the middle of the cover is an eagle that is swooping down like it is going to grab something. This eagle has four planes around it, two on either side. Below the eagle on a pink banner reads "Lincoln Air Base". Below that banner in brown/black lettering reads, "America". Below America are two bases and airplanes at each base. The pillow cover is light blue for the main color and it has yellow/gold fringes all the way around it. The back of the cover is plain light blue silk material.

History During World War II the Lincoln Air Base aws activated as a training base for airplane mechanics and a deployment center for aircraft and crews heading for England. At one time, there were more than 20,000 military personnell. (from www.minerland.net/lincoln2.htm)
