Description Color offset lithograph on white paper. Printing proof of an illustration for the book, "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" by Mark Twain and illustrated by John Falter. The illustration features a raft floating on a river with two people, a boy, Huckleberry Finn, and an African American, fishing and eating watermelon. The two are lying on the raft shirtless eating watermelon. The wood raft has a wood structure built on it. The structure is extended by a white tent. Several watermelons are lying on the raft between the two males. The raft is floating down a river banked by trees. A fishing pole is erected on the back of the raft, with the line dragging behind. The sky is cloudy and turning dark on the right. The illustration has a black frame and is bordered by white. The illustration was printed on two sheets of paper glued together down the middle.
