Description Color offset lithograph on white paper. Magazine clipping from Cosmopolitan featuring the story "The Barn Cuts Off the View" by Edna Ferber with illustrations by John Falter. The clipping is of a sheet folded into four pages. The front page features an article. The middle pages feature a two-page illustration of a red barn in the background and a man and woman in the foreground. The woman is facing the barn and gesturing toward it and the man is facing away lighting a cigarette. Text is printed over the illustration. "Aug 40" is written in graphite on the lower right corner. The back page features text and an illustration of the man and woman kissing in the barn. In the background is a pile of hay and light streaming through the barn wall.
